Bring it on

Refreshed, rejuvenated and ready for life. I would suggest all mommies take a short little hiatus from the routines of every day life.

I returned from Florida Sunday evening ready to see my husband and boys. It was a wonderfully relaxing trip and ultimately a time of personal reflection. I NEEDED to miss Josh and the boys and the timing could not have been any better.

Sarah and I enjoyed a weekend of no time constraints, no waiting hand-and-foot on kids and hubbies, no cleaning or cooking...basically we had a weekend devoted to us. We shopped, laid out on the beach (and fried ourselves), enjoyed walking the streets of old St. Augustine, dined at wonderful restaurants, read (we are hooked on the Twilight series), and treated ourselves to massages.

When Sunday evening rolled around, we both were sad the trip was over but at the same time excited to return home to "life."

If you don't take anything else away from my blog, please hear me on this: For your sanity and more importantly for the love of your family, take a little vacation to find yourself again. I can't tell you how mentally revived I feel after a little three day trip.

I must say I'm a little jealous! I have a trip planned in November, and I can't wait! I'm glad you had a good time. I completely agree with the benefits of a little time away. It does wonders for my mental health.

I'm so glad you had such a good time!!! I love the beach; and you are so right - you know, mommies should be prescribed a girls only vacation at least once a year!! :)

Glad you had a good time and feel refreshed! I haven't been away from the kids for more than one night and never on my own, it does sound like fun not to have to take care of someone, but have people taking care of you for a few days!

I envy your time away! I'm glad you had fun, though!
