Flashback Friday

I have been racking my brain for a few days now trying to decide what to post for this week's Flashback Friday. For the past few, I have been able to post something that correlates with the weekend at hand. So, still being stuck in that sort of mind frame and having nothing exciting planned for this weekend, all I was able to think of was something to do with college football.

I am going to go ahead and apologize for this obnoxious post (music and all); but you see, where I am originally from football is not just any other sport - it is a way of life, a type of religion, if you will. In fact, what I am about to write is going to land me in a load of trouble with everyone in my family; but it has to be said.

A little history first: My granddad is a Georgia Tech alumni and therefore is a huge Yellow Jackets fan and my parents, my siblings and all of my dad's side of the family are all big Alabama fans. So not only do I know all the words to the Tech fight song, but I also know how to say Roll-Tide-Roll with the best of them. However, I am a huge disappointment to my family because for some odd reason, I bleed red and black. Normally, my loyalties are not too much of a problem. However, this Saturday is the 'Bama vs. UGA game (a game that doesn't take place every year).
Anyway, what I have to say is this: may the better Dawg win! GOOOOOO DAWGS!! Sic 'em!

This is a photo of my friend Lori and me back in 1996 before a Georgia game. We are at the renowned Dawg Walk with the Redcoat Marching Band behind us.

We were exposed to some of that Roll Tide stuff back in our Montgomery days...we once were at a game that had 4 OT's...I've never hated football so much...lol
