i heart faces – week 11 (kids and adult)

This week’s theme over at i heart faces is “No Flash”.

The following photo is of Beau a couple of weeks ago. The weather here in Oklahoma has been beautiful and we just can’t seem to keep from going outside and enjoying it. DSC_0024 copy ps

My adult entry is of my boys, and when I say boys I actually mean Jack and the hubby, during the Christmas holiday season. We had taken the boys to see Santa at Bass Pro (don’t knock it – it was FREE) and afterwards Josh and Jack had found some remote control cars to play with.

Even though the composition in this photo is not my favorite, I love the lighting and even more than that, I love how it shows the hubby not sharing the toy : )links, birthday, santa 131 To see more “No Flash” photos, or to join in yourself, head on over to i heart faces.

I just had to laugh at the picture of your husband and son. It totally reminded me of something my husband would do.
Great shots.

I love your entries : ). I laughed so hard about your non sharer. Maybe you need to sit him down and have a talk with him.... If you need some good lecture material you just let me know. Kaishon thinks I am the Queen of ALL LECTURES : ).

Those are two great pictures! I love the way the second picture tells a story. I love the lighting in that one!

Love them both, but the adult entry is hilarious! I thought that I was the only one with the non- sharing husband. I had to tell my husband to give the crying one year old the ball the other day! We saw Santa and Mrs. Clause at Chick-Fil-A free too. It was funny cause the cow mascot kept getting in the pics. lol I am gonna call that your adult photo is a winner. You rock your "no flash" pics. How did you avoid the motion shake. Did you tripod on something?

I love both pictures! The adult one is priceless. Reminds me so much of my husband. The other day I came home from work, my son was crying/screaming while his dad was playing Guitar Hero.

Great job on both--but I love the second one--they both looked so much into whatever they were doing!

What is it about Dad's and the toys they buy their boys! Your comment made me chuckle!

Also love the slide picture and the great sparkle in his eyes.

I love both of your shots, Melinda! And while the first one may have better composition, the second one actually has a better story.. lol! I love the way Jack's face is lit, and I really love the neon blue in the background. Very cool...! Thanks for stopping by my blog.. and good luck in the contest!

I love the sweet look of your son and how you processed the face.

The light in your adult photo is stunning. Your hubby is a lot like mine. :D

Very nice! And we HAVE had very nice weather lately, haven't we??

I did have to laugh though, we went to Bass Pro to see Santa too! However, we went to the one in Springfield! LOL

Good job not flipping the flash on inside Bass Pro! You did a remarkable job getting a crisp picture in a very difficult lighting situation. And what a precious expression in the first picture! Enjoy that weather.

OMG, look at those eyes on Beau! Beautiful picture!

I really like the father-son pic.

Wow Melinda! Another great week, and you did it without photoshop even! That first shot at the park is so adorable. The lighting is just perfect! Makes his eyes shine beautifully. The second shot is such a great use of indoor natural light. And the matching expressions they're wearing are too cute. Not sure who is the bigger kid in this moment, LOL!

I will cut your husband some slack because I love to play as much as my kids and sharing is hard!

The first thing that draws you on the first one is those big beautiful eyes.

I actually LOVE the composition on the second one. It looks natural and just captures the moment. I think the non-sharing thing is an epidemic with daddies everywhere. :)
