Seven years ago today…

…I embarked on the greatest adventure of my life - I married my best friend and the love of my life. Josh and mel 002 And what an amazing adventure it has been! God has truly blessed our lives and our marriage and I am so excited to see what God has in store for us the rest of our lives.

Seven years ago, Josh and I wrote about our relationship. Josh wrote:

“The first time I met Melinda, I knew she was special, I just wasn’t sure what kind of special. I think the reason we became such great friends is because of the great comfort we had in each other’s company. It feels great knowing our love came from between two best friends.”Josh and mel 001 And I wrote:

“Josh was a breath of fresh air. For the first time in my dating life, I was able to be myself. We used to spend hours on the phone and at the lake talking about anything and everything. He quickly became my very best friend. I remember thinking how smart and funny he was but never in a million years did I think I would marry this man…he is more than I ever dreamed of.”

After seven years, I don’t think our feelings for each other and our relationship has changed except to intensify. What an amazing feeling to know you get to spend the rest of your life with the one you love more than anything else in the world.n1082408359_58065_3081 Happy anniversary, babe!! I love you more than words could ever say or actions could ever show.

A life's worth, in the end, isn't measured in hours, or dollars. It's measured by the amount of love exchanged along the way. -Douglas C. Means

Happy Anniversary! How sweet!
I love what you wrote about each other.
I think Doc wishes I were more sentimental like that.
