Last week we started potty-training Beau. At first, it was like pulling teeth to get the boy to even want to wear underwear. It didn’t matter that every time he had a stinky diaper, he would bring you a diaper and wipes and lay down on the floor so that you could change him. It didn’t matter that he could use the toilette – he simply did not want to be bothered with taking the time to go and sit while he did his thing.
But only after a few accidents, I am happy to say he is potty-trained at the ripe young age of 2-years-and-not-quite-5-months old. Woo-hoo! Way to go Beau!!
As for his issues with the top half, we had to go back to the ENT yesterday to have one of his tubes in his ear redone. The poor thing just can’s seem to get over all of these ear infections.

Yea! I don't miss the diaper days at all. I think thats a future blackmail picture!
Congrats Beau man, my youngest is 5 and that seems like FOREVER ago. I know and remember how hard those 1st few days/ weeks can be!
Yeah!!! We're at that age and I'm about to start in a week or so. Wish me luck! Ha!
Don't know if you got the news, but I've moved my blog....I'm now at http://www.afrugalfriend.net
I had the same issues that Beau has with his ears when I was little too. I had many many tubes put in my ears over my childhood so I definitely feel for him! Poor fella!
Congrats on the potty training! How long did it take you? I'm about to start with Viv soon, I'm really ready to get one of my children out of diapers!
@Mandy - for some reason, Beau was really easy. We started on Wed. of last week and by Saturday, we weren't having any accidents!! : )
Good luck with Viv. I hear girls are much easier than boys.
Way to go! Camryn is 3 and still isn't potty-trained. But, that's my fault not hers. =)
I'm getting ready to make the call to an ENT today for Camryn to get tubes. She's had five ear infections right in a row. Blah!
I hope he is over the infections soon. Poor guy!
That gives me hope. With Lucas just turning 2, I have that in my near future. He does what Beau did- tells you when he's wet and poopy but refuses to sit on potty. I'm holding out for the summer when I can be at home and put him in "big boy" undies all day.
Way to go, my son was not potty trained til 4 1/2 and it drove me nuts because he would use the potty but only on his terms.
I'm so sorry he's still having trouble with his ears! I hope this time it works, and he gets some relief...poor kiddo!
WAY TO GO on the potty training!!! That is awesome!!! We havent' even started trying to potty train Chase...with the move and everything I just didn't even mess with it. He turns 3 next week, so I need to start. Once my house is completely in order, we will start on that! It's always something!!!
But now that you don't have a baby in diapers, you need to have another one!!! ;)
I'm so happy my kids are grown past that stage! I remember it well and I feel your pain! Good luck in the potty training! Sounds like he's on his way!
He is just precious : ) Way to go Beau! I think Kaish was almost 3. Seriously. I am like the worst mom in America!
To be fair, many adults are too lazy to go to the bathroom and instead just sit around and complain that they have to pee but don't feel like moving.
love to bend him over that toilet and see how much he can take in his sweet little bum, little bums look so hot with load dripping out
