Nobody grows old merely by living a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals. Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. ~Samuel Ullman
Today I am celebrating the first anniversary of my 29th birthday and having somewhat of a hard time with it. Luckily, I have no gray hairs to report on and the eye cream, thus far, seems to be doing its job of "reducing the signs of aging." In fact, my life is pretty darn good. God is good and gracious and I am looking so forward to seeing what all He has in store for me during the next 30 years of my life.
Along with the photo below, I thought I would also include a couple of things that were written by my mom in my baby book regarding the year I was born. I also included some links for further reading (as if you have nothing better to do).

The World As It Was When Baby Was Born
(1978 - for those of you who are too lazy to do the math)
Latest Dance: Disco dancing
Best-Selling Books: The Thorn Birds
Fashions, Fads, Etc.: Ties for girls, big blouses, knee length skirts and dresses, cuffs slowly coming back as are high spike heel shoes.
Clockwise starting in the left upper-hand corner: my third birthday party (Strawberry Shortcake theme); I think this would have been taken in the summer of 1979, right before I turned 2 (but I'm not completely sure); this is a photo of me, my mom and my dad taken upon my arrival home from the hospital (Mom, you look soooo young...you too, Dad).
