The furst

My mom was asking me the other day about my first child and I realized I had not yet introduced him to all of you yet. Obviously I am not referring to Jack but, rather, to Gus.

Actually his full name is Augustus McCrae Brookshire - a little pretentious, I know; but one of Josh's favorite movies is Lonesome Dove and it seemed to suit him. He is a miniature Yorkshire Terrier and weighs all of five pounds. But don't let his size fool you - he is a ferocious beast (at least that's what we let him go on believing).

Gus has been in our family for six years now. He is so good with the boys and the boys love him, sometimes a little too much; however, Gus puts up with it. I kind of think he just assumes this is his lot in life and he'd better just make the most of it.So mom, as you can see, Gus is doing well but he misses you. Come and see him soon.

How cute! I love Yorkies, and it is great that he is so good with your boys.

Hey, did your background change or have those bats always been there? I really like it!

No, I changed my banner to go more with the season. The bats were added, a fall tree and leaves were added and I put brown grass in instead of the green. Impressed you noticed and glad you like it.

Love the pics of Gus with the boys. I think its great when kids can grow up with pets! Jason loves lonesome dove too. I've seen it around 5 times (not always of my own free will)!

Shawna - I couldn't agree more with the Lonesome Dove comment. It wasn't a bad movie...but seeing it once was enough for me.
