"It's all part of the experience, honey" - Clark Griswold

Finally, after reading about and looking at all of your wonderful pictures from the various pumpkin patches that you all attended, we finally got to go to one on Saturday (before the OU game, of course). It took a lot of arm twisting and teeth pulling but Josh finally agreed to go and we had a great time.

Weatherford's PB Farms plays host to "The Maize". So not only is it a pumpkin patch but it also has a little petting zoo, tractor rides, a maze formed from maize, and a lot of other fun stuff for kids of all ages.

The first thing we did upon arrival was go to the petting zoo. Jack learned how to feed a goat and Beau got bit by a pig - yes, you heard me correctly - Beau was bitten by a pig. I am sure it was a tragic experience for him because it almost was for me. I'm not a fan of farm animals anyway, and then when I had to pry Beau's little finger from that disgusting pig's mouth only to find the skin from the top of Beau's finger had been torn off...ick! I still don't like to think back on it all. However, I will tell you that he is fine and we went on with our little outing. Luckily, the rest of the trip was not nearly as eventful; in fact, it turned out to be like any other Brookshire Family field trip: Jack ran all over the place like a wild banshee, Beau tried to eat everything in sight, Josh was ready to leave before we even got there and I was taking pictures, hopelessly trying to get a cute photo of the boys together (hee-hee).

I have far too many photos to post so, again, here they are in slide-show format.

Your outings sound so much like ours!! What should be a perfectly wonderful outing always turns into a chaotic, exhausting event, which ends up fine, but sometimes the process is just a bit much! As a result, we still haven't done the pumpkin patch! You give me courage though...I should take the boys soon...Great pictures!!

Looks like everyone had fun, at least the boys anyway. Our boys love the pumpkin patch, can't wait to take them.
