Flashback Friday

Just another Fall Flashback Friday. This photo was taken in 2001, 9 months after Josh and I were engaged and about 7 months before we actually tied the knot - yes, it was a long engagement - I wanted to finish school (but that's another story for another time). Ironically, the photo was taken here, in small town America. I should've known then that I would eventually end up living here. But isn't that what love is all about - following your man to the ends of the earth? (lol)

That is such a beautiful picture of you guys!!! I didn't remember that your engagement was so long! I don't know how you did that; good for you for having your priorities and sticking to them to make sure you followed your dreams!

Neither one of you look like you've aged! Its a great pic.

I did a flashback on my blog today, but I didn't call it a flashback friday because I didn't want to be too big of a copycat. I love the idea, though!

Thanks girls! Stacey - it was a very long engagement and I did walk across the stage for graduation but didn't receive a diploma because I was still 3 hours short. I actually finished when I was pregnant with Jack - went into labor the day of my final, but my professor was so understanding he let me pass anyway : ) Like I said, another story for another time.

Amber - I don't think you would be a copycat at all! In fact, I was thinking about doing a Mr. Linky for Flashback Fridays too so that anyone who wanted to join in could. I just wasn't sure if anyone else would be interested. Maybe I will revisit the idea though : ) Can't wait to see yours.

What an awesome professor! That was really great of him; not many would do that!

At least you got to walk across the stage and have that memory! I didn't ever walk, and I think my mom is still mad at me over that. lol

Awww, what a cute couple! That is a great picture of you guys.

When I was in high school, I swore I would never live in my boring suburban hometown....guess where I ended up? It doesn't seem boring to me anymore. Maybe because now I'm just a boring mom! :)
