Flashback Friday

A lot of you have expressed you would like to join in but that where you are from receives little to no snow. So let me expand the theme to include "What winter means to you". Hopefully that will allow more of you to post for the next couple of weeks.

Speaking of little to no snow...I was born and raised in the south - Georgia to be exact. Snow was almost a foreign concept to us...almost. Apparently on Jan. 12, 1982 (I was 3 1/2) we received a little bit of snow and as evidence of our rarely experiencing such winter weather, my mom sent me outside in what appears to be socks on my hands.

And our only form of entertainment once in the snow...an inflatable pool float - as can be seen in my dad's left hand. Oh, those were the good ol' days.

Love the sock gloves and the pool floaty! I am looking for an older snow picture to post and play along today! I'll be back soon!

I had socks for gloves as a kid too... seems like we just put on whatever we could find to get out there in that snow! Awesome pic!

Beautiful picture, Melinda. You remind me of my sister Melinda in the Philippines. :)
