He said what?!

Kids are not always the most tactful beings on the planet. For you mom’s out there you know exactly what I am talking about. For you moms and dads to be, consider this your fair warning.

Last week, Josh took Jack, our four-year-old, to the grocery store. Upon Jack’s seeing a fairly overweight woman, he looked at Josh and said “Daddy, she has a happy tummy!!”Cheese balls and Christmas OKC 018

Ha ha ha! Sheesh, I can't count how many times the little Beast has insulted me and his daddy's waistlines. Kids don't lie you know?! I posted a video blog of the little Beast saying something funny today too!

Well if he just had to comment, at least he did it in a really polite and cute way. lol Did the woman hear him?

Yeah, it most definitely could have been worse...I could have been there : )

As for whether or not the woman heard him...I don't know...my husband is not that forthcoming with the details but I can only imagine that she did since Jack is not too terribly quiet and our grocery store is the size of a Seven-Eleven.

my oldest always ask questions LOUDLY when he sees a handicap person or someone who is just a little different. i try to ignore but that usually doesn't work. haha

He looks at the positive side of things. What a nice unique way of descibing her!

That cracks me up! You'll love this story in a few years. We have a similar one that I just love now:

When Grace was about 3, we were in the grocery store (what is it about a grocery store?) when we saw a very, very tall & large guy walking toward us. Just as our carts passed, Grace said so very loudly, "WHOA!!!! That is a big boy!" I was mortified and shaking with laughter at the same time.
