2008 Okie Blog Awards

The Okie Blog Awards celebrates its fourth year in recognizing and honoring the excellence and diversity of bloggers within Oklahoma through popular nominating and voting.
The awards were established by, and are decided by and for, Oklahoma bloggers exclusively.

On Jan.2, 2009, Oklahoma bloggers began nominating their favorite blogs in each of 12 categories. In those categories with more than 10 blogs being nominated, the ten blogs receiving the most nominations made the final nomination list.
Congratulations to all the final nominees.

Can you believe I was nominated for the above award in the "Best Family Blog" category?! I am still in a little bit of shock. Having said that though, I would really appreciate your vote.

Only Okie bloggers with active Okie blogs at the start of nominations (Jan. 2) are eligible. "Active" is defined as having at least one blog post during the last 60 days of 2008. An "Okie blog" is defined as having at least one active blog author residing within the state of Oklahoma. All Okie Blog Awards are decided only by Okie bloggers. A blogger cannot vote for his or her own blog.A blogger can only vote for one blog per category. The voting period ends on Feb. 7, 2009.

So, if you enjoy my blog and fit the above description please head on over to The 2008 Okie Blog Awards site and follow the instructions there.

And thanks to everyone who nominated me. I am very honored to be included with so many wonderful blogs.

I just heard that Georgia plays OSU the very first game of the season in Stillwater. Thought you might like to know. Only catch is OSU sells their tickets in Season ticket package only not single game. But there is a way around that through verious ticket sites.

Congrats on the nomination. I was just reading your sidebar and wanted to validate your insanity. I, too, live in a 1900s bungalow. It's nearly redone, now, but there are still days when I stare at projects still left undone - like the hardwood floor in the kitchen. I nearly go catatonic and start wandering aimlessly around the house. Then, I start dreaming of living in a cookie cutter cracker box and it sometimes, it actually seems inviting. You'll surive and be glad you did. Also, love the Scrip. from James - my favorite book in the Bible, more or less. It's all about the tongue, and worth memorizing those four important chapters. Best of luck, jenx67
