Meet my friend Ed.
He is marrying this stunning woman.
As much as I love and adore Ed and Meagan, Ed and Meagan are crazy.
I told them no.
I told them I’ve never done a wedding before.
I told them they should really hire a professional to capture all of those once-in-a-lifetime moments.
Ed and Meagan, on top of being crazy, must also be deaf because Ed and Meagan are still insisting I shoot their wedding.

Melinda! If there is anyone in the whole wide world who can shoot a great wedding it is you. You take wonderful pictures. You capture magical moments. And you can edit like nobody's business. I want you to come be my wedding photographer. Oh wait. I am already married. And I hate pictures of myself. I am rescinding my offer : ) I would love to be your second shooter though : ) If your friend is crazy and fun then I know I would LOVE him :) And her too, of course!

Me Ra is awesome and lives here in my area. I had the pleasure of teaching her daughter how to swim when I worked at the YMCA. Anyway, if you scroll down her blog there is a entry from July 13 about how her business got started. In the post is a link to a pod cast, it is pretty long BUT I think you will love to hear it. She talks about her FIRST WEDDING shoot and how awful it was, but wait! this is a GOOD story! And I think you could benifit from it before you shoot Ed's wedding! Anyway, she and her husband are now an awesome team and shoot high end weddings ALL OVER THE WORLD! She is just amazing and I really hope to log into to follow her blog and see what she does!

Melinda, you are crazy, you should totally do it! You have to start somewhere and it's best to start with a crazy couple who won't listen to reason! I started with Ben and Dara and they're still my friends 5 years later! Take the leap!
