i heart faces – week 41

The month of October is dedicated to breast cancer awareness; and to show their support for such a cause, i heart faces’ theme this week is all about “Pink”.

Cancer awareness is an important subject to me; but breast cancer awareness truly holds a place near and dear to my heart. My grandmother lost her battle with breast cancer in the early 80s and every year I take part in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life in memory of her. She was an amazing woman! I hate that her life was cut so short. She would have absolutely adored my boys and they would have worshiped the ground she walked on.

I was hoping to have a more profound “Pink” photo for this week but I just couldn’t think of anything.

The following photo is not only of pink cheeks and pink lips; but the little girl pictured is a representation of  the next generation -  a generation in which hopefully the cure for this terrible disease will finally be discovered.baby blues for web watermarked

To see more “Pink” photos or to join in yourself or if you would just like to make a contribution towards breast cancer research and awareness, head on over to i heart faces.

Gorgeous.

I see that you're a Relay for Lifer. (I am too.) As such, there's a 30 sec video I'd love for you to check out -- http://www.ahamoment.com/vote/michelle -- about the "aha moment" of one Relay volunteer. Hope you like it. If you do, vote for it (with one simple click), as the top vote-getters in this contest will be used as aha moment TV commercials next year.

There are a couple of other finalists related to cancer and breast cancer, too. You can vote for as many videos as you like.

More publicity for Relay and cancer awareness issues would be a good thing.

In fact, it would be great if you might consider doing a blog post about the video and contest. That would really help get the word out.

Thanks and one last thing -- voting ends Oct 31.

All the best,

jack@ahamoment.com
