Fix-It Friday #4

Still using my free 30-day trial of Photoshop CS4 (only 3 days left, and boy am I going to miss it) here is my correction for this week.

The photo this week was pretty good (in my unprofessional opinion). The baby had a few skin issues that needed some correcting and then overall, I wanted to lighten, brighten and soften it up a little bit; yet have the eyes stand out...I am probably overdoing it; but that is the really great thing about i heart faces - it is a great learning site!

Before:

After:

To see more Fix-It Fridays, head on over to i heart faces.

Do you think you will buy it when your session ends? You are a great editor! I wish you could come and teach me. I have the hardest time with editing.

I would love to buy it but it is just so stinkin' expensive. I am still working on getting the hubby to shell out the dough : )

I appreciate your comment. That means a lot to me since I honestly have no idea what I am doing. So far it has been a bit of trial and error.

I love how you made her eyes so vivid! The colors are great and there's a softness about the picture... such a great job!

You definitely accomplished everything you set out to do. I can't believe how good you are when you just started! Find yourself a college student to buy Adobe cheap. You "NEED" it! I can't even imagine what you'll be doing after having the program awhile. You're so good already!

Nice job here! I find it is always so easy to over-enhance when I start editing, but you did pretty good I think! Love the colored irises and the skin and light improvements. I'm right with you on trying to convince DH for photoshop. But first I want to upgrade to a DSLR, which will be my reward if I can finish my Master's Thesis that has been on hold for TWO Years. Maybe Photoshop could be my reward for losing 15 pounds? If you can't convince DH to buy PS, try GIMP for free. I understand they're very similar (though you can't buy the actions for GIMP) and I actually like what GIMP does for my photos!
